Gateway Dinner...

Friday evening's when most of the 'wine and dine' places are flooded, few gateways like Taj Gateway offers a 'true' gateway to unwind yourself from busy week schedule, we tried 'Karavali' restuarent offering authentic Kerala food along the candle lit ambience...

The experience was really nice, with good food, great service. The food we tried was 'Idiappam', 'Neerdosa' with alleppy fish curry and mangalorean chilli chicken... yum!

idiappam, with fish and chiken stew ....served on banana leaf...

Good,I like to use banana leaves for serving when I get a chance, saw this in books, but the banana trees spread and were chopped out, but I will try to grow them as pot plant

Thanks for the pictures.

Lucky you, when I ate there last year, they just served in ceramic plates. Wish it was a Banana Leaf.

We tries the 'Neer Dosa' too and man it was expensive but tasty. Cost 1000 Rs (approx $18).

Nice hotel, stayed there once as well and excellent location.
