The century old practice of using biodegradable material surely has a potential to support the environment and the cottage industries producing them in rural parts of the state / country…

Two wheeler counts in the city keep adding, but when it comes to most affordable and economical people are seen using these kinds of Mopeds, under 50cc bikes. Notice this single seater one is modified to take along goods on the pillion seat!

Early morning while on my way to work, I cross few such 'wait state' spots where everyone is waiting for their pick up to work, school etc. The time perhaps is best utilized for important 'downloads' between the networkers...
btw don't get surprised to see the tree monuments as i call them, the road widening initiative has created many such monuments on the roads that once had lush green canopies...

Shared School (bus?) Auto's..

Early morning such scenes are common in the city. The auto rickshaws that ply kids to schools, they operate privately and gather kids from same area to ferry one or many schools dropping the kids back and forth. The parents are worry free as each student gets picked up and dropped personally by the auto driver from their door step ….

Work is progress, the constructions an renovations are a common sight, the beautiful old houses are giving way to the modern apartments and commercial establishments. The labors camp on the worksites itself to start the work early and reduce commuting time... the work must go on!!

Fruits are sold worldwide, and city is no exception. The method and means of sale differ from city to city and market to market. Like for few sale is per pack, selling by numbers like dozen (pack of 12) or other who sale them by weight, like here in Bangalore…. This difference is noticeable immediately to the newcomers…

Shopping for festival..

Jai Ganesha, the shoppers do ‘Sri Ganesha’ ( a saying used for/before starting of any activity) for the festive shopping of banana stems ( used for decorating Ganesha ‘mandap – place where Ganesha idols is placed for puja) flowers, fruits (sugarcane for sure) and many puja/ decoration items….

The market was crowded with lot of enthusiasm and fortunately it did not rain last evening…
