Sesame and Jaggery Laddos made for makar Sankranti, a festival that yearmarks the winter solstice marks the beginning of the gradual increase of the duration of the day, apart from a harvest festival is also regarded as the beginning of an auspicious phase in the Indian culture as the 'holy phase of transition'. It marks the end of an inauspicious phase which according to the Hindu calendar begins around mid-December and ends on this day. The sweets shared on this day marks new beggining of relationships and welbeing....
