Groceries are sold via wholesale traders who provide them on large quantities, indian households are known to stock up the grains on monthly and sometimes on yearly basis ...this unorganized sector constitutes larger share vs organised market.

Wow, so many varieties! It is good when people can buy in large quantities - makes it less expensive.
Does one use 'idly rice' to make idly?? I always thought idly were made from rice flour but I didn't know there was a specific rice. Very interesting.

yes, the you are right, the rice maked as idly rice is the one which is used to prepare idli's...
