Chana Jor Garam

Chana Jor Garam - a mouthwatering Indian traditional snack made out of black gram!! This crunchy snack, when consumed rejuvenates you and makes you feel energitic. Quick roadside snack for the munchers found to be healthy as it is made up of channa ( lentil )

Lentils are relatively tolerant to drought and are grown throughout the world. About half of the worldwide production of lentils is from India, most of which is consumed in the domestic market. With 25% protein it is the vegetable with the highest level of protein other than soybeans, and because of this it is a very important part of the diet in many parts of the world, and especially South Indiawhich has a large vegetarian population.

Oh Rajesh, keep some for me too please! I find this photo wonderful and I love lentils too. They definitely make sense in a vegetarian diet.
