Shiva Temple & Mahashivratri....

A Small Shiva temple on Avenue Road on a normal day, this seems to be closed after sunset. Tomorrow being the Mahashivratri, a great festival of shiva's worshippers...the temple will be decorated and will be flooded with devotees..
The festival of Mahashivratri (literally means the 'Grand Night dedicated for the worship of Lord Shiva'). is looked upon with greatest reverence & respect by the devotees of Lord Shiva. The most significant practices on this day are offerings of Bael (Bilva) leaves to the Lord Shiva, fasting and all night long vigil.
This day and more so the night is dedicated by the devotees of Lord Shiva for his worship, practice of various austerities & meditation. All the Shiva Temples will be fully decorated and there are hordes of devotees queuing up to get darshan of Lord & offer their obeisance's at the feet of Lord Shiva on this special day. More..

Avenue Road, the road most popular in students for books, yes the largest collection of all used technical, medical and curricular books at a price points affordable to many, the cost however works on the basis of availability, for the out of print books the cost may move northwards...
Ideally such supplychaon complements reuse of books and saves our trees complementing nature, such important unorganized sectors should be supported by the society as it offers only benefits to sellers, students and society!!
