This forest fire tree is writing yet another chapter with set of all new leaves this season, this is the second seasons greeting captured on BDP, Time just flies by......
In this world of branded goods and swanky showrooms there exists a down-to-earth simple and affordable option going traditional way! A small shop in Ulsoor does showcase traditional children ware and happy customers... Deep rooted simplicity is the drive making this survive and shine!!
Summer heat is catching up! The time to spend all day indoor, but for few. This fruit seller is using promo umbrellas (from a leading FM station in Bangalore) to save himself from direct sun. His cart is fully loaded with Oranges and Papaya’s both get testier while in summer along all time apples.....
This is a shot from one of my favorite food joint, the table welcomes you with this gesture of generosity with unlimited sambar, chutney and type of kuttu ( veggie) that one can relish along with piping hot idlies, wada or dosai or parotas ordered from the menu...These tastemakers are served unlimited and without a charge. Customers satisfaction is thus guaranteed!! What say??
Montessori kids like to get dressed other than their uniforms for some 'cultural day' show in the school. The school bus ferries them to the school along with teachers to capture the festive mood. Here are few seen fully dressed like lord krishna or some traditional attire...
Yet another beginning…Ugadi brings lot of celebrations, decorations to the city. People buy flowers and mango, bevu leaves to use them for this festival. To welcome the new year people clean their homes, decorate the entrance with Rangoli and prepare sweets followed by lot of shopping cloths, consumer goods etc….
Air is to humans, Cricket is to India! So true!! The game of cricket is so passionate here that it does not limit itself to stadiums but has spread to almost each street / road …. my neighborhood is no exception!! Few ‘Young Turks’ team up and have it add some adrenaline into life!!
One of the catchy factor I like about this city is that it provides ample opportunity to walkers. Walks, Walking the dog is a pleasure. Unlike other indian cities that have lost this option due to congestion, this city still provides huge gardens, layouts with quiter lanes and many small parks with joggers track to enable 'Walking'. Have you had your walk today!!
Those who eat together stay together, how true!!
few friends share a quick luncheon – noodle-ing at a fast food joint near by their school in Jeevan Beema Nagar. the crave and craze for Chinese food perhaps bonds them together on 'friendly' ties...
Just recollect how you used to have fun sharing food with your friends back in schooling times. These kids just took me back two decades...
Picking up petty provisions for the daily household is normal. Weekly casual visits to the nearby shop seems to be routine for this middle age lady picking up few Beatle nut leaves (Paan) from this general provision shop, such shops do not operate as groceries but keep many varieties of petty things required and not sold via typical groceries...
Rains have stopped and the sun is working up taking the temparature higher and higher. The skyline behind is the isolation hospital greenary part of which will now house new metro station till then perhaps this sight would become part of the history....
Quite a usual sight in the market to spot these Red Bananas, a variety with reddish-purple skin and slight raspberry-banana flavor. Best eaten soft, but not bruised. Few people say it generates lot of body heat and a bit heavy to digest compares to ‘yellow’ bananas..
The 'Red', 'Red Spanish', 'Red Cuban', 'Colorado', or 'Lal Kela' banana may have originated in India but found in few other countries too…
