The markets were full of people and goodies required for pooja, the festivities demand some strange veggies like these green pumpkins which are used as offerings and broken outside homes after pooja as a symbolic sacrifice to put away evil / negativities…

Another great shot. I hope, in Nov when I am in India, I can find many such photos to create happy memories!
They have a similar use here but seem to attract a lot of costumed children asking for candy.
