There is no cable TV service in Banaswadi and surroundings from today morning. The reason: Protest today in Bangalore. Cable services were disrupted from R T Nagar office, says my cablewallah. I have to hang my head in shame. The kind of democracy we are all going to...it is ridiculous!
Was any consideration given over the timing of the verdict? It seems counterproductive and insensitive at the very least, given the continuing uneasiness in Bangalore and now the rest of Karnataka is bracing itself for the worst.
Stay safe, everyone.
Great commentery. I didn't know about the decision. Water rights are a hot topic in some quarters here too -- but the article you linked to describes something on a much larger scale. I hope your city stays calm and eventually is able to relax without violence.
Wow- this is really interesting. Water rights is only an emerging issue here in New Zealand...Your post will make for a really great classroom discussion. I hope it all stays calm, and the decision is a fair one.
Thanks Folks..
The city is Peaceful, there are some small incidences of protests, road / rail blocks but are not that severe, perhaps this issues will keep sending such tremors in forthcoming weeks too...
