Fetching water...


It is a constant endavor for this girl to fetch daily quota of drinking water for her family in surrounding area's of Bangalore. Can monsoon be a better season than summer to remember water and its importance? Even a slight disruption in water supply will cause problems for the people. The problems the city is facing because of depletion in the ground water level.

The Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board (BWSSB) provides drinking water to Bangalore to an extent of about 860 MLD. People also augment their needs through bore wells, but the quantity is comparatively very less. Approximately 80 percent of the drinking water supplied-that is 688 MLD-flows as wastewater. Out of this, BWSSB is providing secondary level treatment to 347 MLD and tertiary level treatment to 71MLD of wastewater only. Refer...

you know what interests me, the shape of the water container maintained the old design of those metal ones.
