A visit to kanteerava stadium reveals lot of action, the crowd pulling game indeed made me stop and capture few moments …a cheerful weekend morning for sure!!

Conversations…

Life is all about conversations, a roadside catching up between friends reminds me such several occasions when you meet your friend/buddy unexpected and pullover and park your bike / cycle / moped taking out few moments together even when the topics don’t matter!!

Winter has taken it’s toll on the trees, the roadside rain trees are shedding their leaves and the heap of these leaves can be seen everywhere… A great composting opportunity to collate the biomass…

The fresh fruits & vegatables are neatly stacked in a small local vegetable shop in my neighbourhood. The good arrive early mornign and are arranged neatly in the shelf before fisrt customers arrive, this is one incentive we get reaching early enough…

This beautiful Radha Krishna statue cought my attention on Commercial Street, the metalic alloy creation is kept right in front of the shop facing the road. There are many who can get tempted for windowshopping but the pricing tags will make them realize that they really need to plan for buying such artifacts…

Metro work on CMH Road in Indira nagar is underway; the road though looks really bad due to cutting of trees with beautiful canopies then. The road just barely remains one lane makes it impossible to drive. All but for a cause on public transport that is promising a new era of city commuting...

City now stands fully restored from the fuel crunch due to last weeks flash strike of oil workers, many Indian metros too witnessed the scarcity of the fuel and motorist had long queues outside the fuel stations….

Dhyuta, the game of dice is an ancient game still played in the city, mostly popular since the famous Mahabharata epic when it was played between kauravas and pandavas .As the game proceeded, Yudhishthira (pandavas) lost all his wealth and kingdom one by one and finally his brothers and Draupadi. Currently this games remains to be the favorite game of the elders ….

Winter sky…

It is cold, indeed very cold. The mornings are foggy and one needs real motivation to get off the bed. The clouds keep playing hide and seek with Sun and it even drizzled y’day morning clearing some fog….the weather is just so lovely for a long drive and hot sip of coffee anytime of the day!!

Many Shopping malls in the city have stepped up security guarding all the entrances, the shoppers still flocking these malls do not hesitate getting baggage checks and metal detectors by the guardians…

A nicely decked colourful flower shelf on a roadside florist kept for sale. The winter adds to the freshness as flowers retain the freshness longer….

As the city comes under the cold winter grip, few men enjoy a roadside fire many though prefer to stay in-door. People are heard talking that this winter is colder than the earlier few ones.

Sugar Candy…

Winter holidays are just over and the sugar candy seller on the street must have done a good business. As a kid I always used to have fun with sugar candy and i continue to see the same demand even now with the kids....

Old Airport Road..

Airport road stretch near HAL with its green canopies still preserved looks deserted due to most of the traffic now automatically got diverted to the other side of the city and the winter cold that discouragers many to venture out….

The Tandoor…

Tandoor, as it is called is a grill used to bake Rotis / Indian bread on charcol. This is an integral part of each and every restaurant kitchen that serves north Indian Rotis on its menu. This one is perhaps taking rest outside a restaurant kitchen for a remake after it must have served long hours in the New Years Eve fulfilling many tummies...
