Casual walks on the CMH road are back, the shops are little different and the big ones who left are yet to return, still the buzz is back underbelly of Metro still remains a large set on the canvas....

Using the hot sand this peanut man cooks the peanuts and serves hot outside the metro station on CMH road, a good exit point positioning makes good sale as most of the travellers prefer this quick munch....

The trend is setting, more and more are opting the metro giving up their lone driving, they drive to nearest metro station and take ride on metro!!

Post Metro the well-being of the area is seen restoring, the shop which moved out are not seen coming back but the residential market and the rentals have gone up due to proximity and convenience of metro....

Weekends bring buyers and the street vendors chase some opportunity to bargain for the good that does not need purchase plan, so to say window shopping without even having the need of window....

The swanky CMH road station glittering in the lights, Friday evening is bit easy on the crowd and many office goes seen using it to avoid hitting the roads....life is easy!

The CMH Road metro station is ready and adjoining areas get final clean up, the buzz is back and so are the expectations for cheaper public transport!

Back in Shape...

After 2-3 yrs of hardship the CMH road residents are breathing peace, the roads are repaired and trafic is smooth, th metro line promising to take them to MG Road in just 15 minutes all is well excpet few commecial shops which lost business and moved out from the area....

All eyes on Namma Metro to start, the underbellies of the overhead tracks are becoming familier and traffic underneath is adjusted to align itself by and between. All what is missing is the roar of the running couches.....!!

Being Metroed !!

Once upon a time ..there was a road called CMH road, the namma metro has done a retro and converted this road into a massive underground. The work of the station has eclipsed most of the road that seem to take away the shopping experience away from this road flurishing the nearby 100ft road...

Metro work on CMH Road..

The metro progress seems much on the schdule has changed the CMH road profile foreever, the busy road not down to a aviodable patch surviving through in anticvipation of better days once the metro completes in 2011-12.

Honey, I shrink the lane!!

It is best to avoid the CMH road, the namma metro work has almost completely swallowed the road to a mere small single lane with small pavement to pass by. The work is in progress for more than a year and will surely take another… till then the dust, digging continues….

Work in progress..

Metro work on CMH Road in Indira nagar is underway; the road though looks really bad due to cutting of trees with beautiful canopies then. The road just barely remains one lane makes it impossible to drive. All but for a cause on public transport that is promising a new era of city commuting...

Double Up!!

Growing demand for the local commute, BMTC buses too have doubled up themselves, despite challenges of narrow roads these double buses do ply effectively ( at the cost of other motorist sometimes) and serve the purpose well....

Shopkeepers on CMH Road seen busy decorating the display on x-mas theme, the markets will see splash of colors and decorations to make most of this festive season…

Hot Bajji i.e.Pakora's....

Hot Bajji, a street food preferred by many for a quick and affordable snack, available any where in Bangalore and for that matter anywhere in India. I met across this busy cook preparing it roadside ( CMH Road) late evening....

It is is a type of Indian cuisine created by taking ingredients such as chicken, onion, eggplant, lentils, potato, spinach, cauliflower, tomato, and chilli, dipping them in a batter of gram flour and then deep-frying them. They are usually served as snacks or appetizers.

They are mostly eaten as starters in restaurants. When onions are so fried they are also known as onion bhajia, or Pakoda. Here is the recipe…

Evenings @CMH Road...

Evening's runbusy for the leisure walk, window shopping and some quick bite on anand Bhuvan on CMH road... the street vendors clog the entrance of this popular food joint to continue making quick bucks..

The temparatures soar to max 30 degrees celcius in day time and as the day ends it settles down to 20-22 degrees minimizing out till 16-17 degrees in the night.. the evening's thus become pleasent for such outdoor activities...
