Daily Wages...

A group of daily wage contruction workers wait early morning for todays assignment, this group of workers called as 'Toli' generally move together from one site to another, one contractor ( who assigneds them the work) to another in a group.
Toli consist of skilled mestries ( one who gives finishing to cement walls, few masons who will work with bricks doing actual contruction and other few women who will carry the materials to them... the entire gamut will work like a team and generally offer packaged deals to the contractor / civil engineers to execute their directions at the site...

In the recent years people are moving from villages to cities. And most of them end up as construction workers.
One way it is good that those folks will get jobs but the con is city will be overloaded with population and more probelms.

Yes Pandit, i feel the options of consistent jobs in the rural area's still needs to be addressed as a whole. till then we will continue to see flocks of villagers/farmers becoming labourers in cities...
