Abacus, and age old calculation tool kept for display took me back decades, the first slate I used had this abacus embedded, was glad to see this still being used in some schools to introduce kids to calculations making math’s a friendly affair!!

The longest elevated expressway to the Electronic City was thrown open to commuters on Friday, 22^nd Jan 2010, while driving down on this 9 kms long icon towards city’s first tech hub today it took just 10 minutes for me maintaining a constant speed of 60-70 kmph. This commute earlier used to be a nightmare on broad day light..

Urban Spaces..

Though city has many gardens and green spaces yet the need of more playgounds remains. The empty private properties awaiting developement then come for rescue and kids make most of it by playing various games all day round...such as kite flying if not cricket!!

The Lalbagh flower show also provides opportunities to traders to exhibit their products and services in stalls around the glass house and help vistors get everything they need under single event from plants, seeds, pesticides, tools and even organic agro products ...

Never to be missed events in the city are these flowers shows held around 26^th Jan and 15^th August every year. Fantastic opportunities for flower lovers to enjoy. The center of attraction is always so creative and mesmerizes all visitors, such as this one a 40 feet “Qutub Minar” built with over 2,00,000 roses...a must visit if you are around!!
