Selling coconuts all day she deserves a tea break, There are quite a few tea vendors who reachout to these market sellers at regular intervals to refresh them with hot beverages ...

New Landmarks...

In the last decade city has actually replaced many landmarks with new ones, some of these are real trendy and elegent....this commercial one is no exception!!

Parrots...

Parts of the city house these beutiful birds in the wold, the parks and the green residential areas provide enough spaces for them to feed and fly around....

Kids play...

While parents are busy in the market selling, the kids make most of their time by playing with other kids and looking after each other, these makeshift swings made with sarees are used for infants to sleep, but once empty elder to join the fun!!

Television..

The TV tower, the tallest structure in the city is the testimonial of the change, the cables and satelite dishes have taken over but the old structure stands tall in the center of the city as a symbolic gesture of this digital edge...

The heavy use of spices in household cooking, these different spices are grinded well and kept on sale for homemakers to prepare masalas for kitchen inventory! local groceries keep the varieties ready for sale...

Eggs from farm...

While many farmers grow the crops there is always a sidekick to earning via harvesting poultry, the eggs come in as dividents and local markets have such direct selling examples...

Corns are back!!

As summer disappers and rains take over, it;s time for hot n steamy corns...the street food that keep city warm!!

Means Breakfast in Kannada, the roadside shacks provide economical alternative to most of the working class, a hot and healthy breakfast consist of regular tiffin items such as idly and vade or puri-sagu (sabji) or even rice items like lemon rice, stream rice served with sambar etc...

Rain Mania...

Last three evenings city has experienced heavy winds and rain ...the roads are the witness of these turbulent times....the mornings and noons though are peaceful and pleasant!!

Heavy Rains..

The city enjoys two monsoons in a year but does pay a price, the turbulent monsoon winds uproot many trees and cause damages, y;days stormy winds did claim one tree from my neighborhood that came down on a parked car, glad that no one was injured!!

Egg Dosa...

Roadside food remains a no-option-choice for many who need a quick and affordable food, this stall nearby a market area is famous for Egg-dosa, a modern mix of raw egg cooked with the dosa batter making a delicious dish called egg-dosa...wortha chakho!! (wortha try!!)

Madiwala Market...

Morning at madiwala market, the wholesale market gets busy to feed the city retailers and consumers with loads of fresh fruits and vagetables...catch few more glimpses here!

Clay is Cool!!

The claypots used to cool the water during the summer month are still selling, these are the prefered means for amny who do not have fridges or can't drink too cold water!! eco friendly green way ....

Roadside shops are not new to the neighborhood, they work in tandem with growth and local demand of the consumers for daily affairs ...

More Mangos..

looks like more and more carts are loaded with varieties of mango's and sold everyday, the fruits are bigger and tasty, as for the first few lots i enjoyed start of the season!!

Red Canopies...

The last session of the red summer-ware of the city, soon rains will take over and the gulmohur will go deep green....

First shower blooms..

Passing by the roadside, the first few showers have rejuvinated flowering plants, this one is ready to share the joy!!

Walking early on the summer morning helps you witness the sunrise, this one was colourful and over aclear sky, really motivating!!

A young balloon seller in the park is wondering for an opportunity to sell one. At the other side of the fence, a young girl almost seller’s age poses out of curiosity while the watchful parent in dilemma “to buy or not to buy” types...

Summer footprints...

Its time to say bye to Summer, the seasonal change is due and the traces of summer will quickly get converted forming new soil...
