Most of the residential layout roads are empty late noon and the summer vacations make kids do most of their time outside their homes with friends, what best could be to make most of this time other than playing cricket to ride on the IPL fever ....

The summer churn makes earth more fertile the old gets away for the new and the cycle continues for the next season....

Another Summer delight is Mangos, the markets are seen loaded with the varieties and aromas...so is the enthusiasm of buyers!!

Sky...

Every evening for a week now, the sky turns black and sheds the summer showers. Downpour y'day was so much that many streets flooded (nothing new to the city though) and today they are back again to start the ritual...I need to pull my blankets out as nights will be cold for sure...

And the rain!!

its the full week of drizzling, wet and cool down of summer with the showers, the outdoors are pleasant with dampness...all you need after a hot sunny month long wait!!

Summer mornings are pleasant, and with city receiveing occasional late evening showers it becomes more exciting to take a walk early morning midst the parks in the city, taking a dog along seems not a bruden for this couple ....

Roads are empty before trafic catches up and thus early morning provides an opportunity for young ones like him to put his wheels on and get it going!!

Summer colors of pink and purple is Javanica, these trees are seen flowering in the city and are well distributed around the roadsides making it a pleasure to drive along this addition to summer colors...

One of the favorite foods I enjoy in Bangalore is served at Kamats yatri niwas in Gandhi nagar, the traditional hot and soft jolar rotis are made and served as part of the meal is an amazing experience of the north canara meals served there...

Common Myna...

The Common Myna is readily identified by the brown body, black hooded head and the bare yellow patch behind the eye. The bill and legs are bright yellow. There is a white patch on the outer primaries and the wing lining on the underside is white. This one seem to be busy building nest and collecting twigs...

Five years back BDP started with first snap of this jacranda tree on 12th Main, today being the new year day (Ugadi) makes sense to revisit that location with this new snap, hope this tree remains for next few years and keeps flourishing!!
