While on a weekend drive, few kilometers on the city outskirts farmers are drying their corn crop on the roadside. The harvest is sold either fresh to the traders in the nearby market and/or remaining will be dried to preserve it for longer time...
Interesting — I never thought that corn was dried too. Corn is not a staple in the Philippines so what gets sold in markets is always fresh off the stalk. Thanks for this informative post!
WOW !! i had seen this on the way to halebidu from hassan.:) every house had a place in front where corn was drying ... orange corn against red and pista painted walls looked lovely
