I guess they are like our 7-11 or mini markets which charge much higher prices than supermarkets for the convenience of having them close by and open early morning and late at night.
I would love to see inside this little shop. It is wonderful to have stores close to home.
We have a few of these kinds of "general" stores here, but none as colorful...
I'm always a bit afraid of them, though...I like to buy electronic items at an electronics store, for example, because I believe - rightly or wrongly - that the people running the electronics store will know more about their products and electronics in general...
