Hi Rajesh, Surprisingly we also call almond "Badam" in the Malay language.
yes, there are quite afew words i know that are common in Many indian languages and Malay... me and my malay colleague had exchanged them frequently...
e.g. Mantri ( hindi / marathi word) > minister
Mej( hindi / marathi word) > Table
etc
