Lord Ganesha…
One of the biggest festivals coming up next month is Ganapathi festival!! Where millions of idols of lord Ganesh will be kept for sale and devotees will bring them home as a ritual and perform ‘pooja’ ceremonies inviting guests for ‘Darshanam’. Many artisans prepare them with clay and keep these idols ready in advance many of which ate made to order.

I am back (I thought I would be able to send you an email to ask you this but my Mac does not recognize the link). Would you "report" more on the Ganapathi festival and Ganesh? On my spare time I am a volunteer tour guide at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. There is a lovely statue of Ganes that I'd love to include in my tour at one point. I will do some research too but I'd love to learn more about the "real life" aspects. Many thanks!
