Rajyotsava Day!

City celebrated Rajyotsava day today, the state foundation since 1956! The entire state wears a festive look on this day as the red and yellow flags are hoisted at different strategic locations across the state and the Kannada anthem ("Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujate") is chanted...Bad weather due to Cyclone Nilam played truant at the 57th Kannada Rajyotsava Celebrations in the city as thousands of children who had come prepared to showcase their talent had to return without rendering their performances.
