Goti Soda, Soda Lemon....i.e. "Indian Lemonade..."

Since my childhood i have had enumerable amount of soda, the roadside, highly unorganized and local carbonated water which comes with a peculiar bottle holding the fizz of the Soda with a glass goti ( i.e. Marble), This Soda is made locally by the small vendors in their homes with help of carbonation machines with some flavours like Rose, Vanilla etc

The drink is very popular with locals as it is splashed with lemon tinge that dances on the tongue from the very first sip… it is so popular that almost every town and village will have some roadside vendor popping the fizz out all around seasons…

Yes lisi, i get on to it whenever i see one...

Kris, this may not be the answer for Coke but from local perspective it does offer freshness of lemon fruit over synthetic/canned falvours...

I love Coke too...

Very neat...used to be called 'Bunta' in Delhi. Tastes great when had with salt.

Thanks for your nice comments on my site.

It is my favorite drink. soda with lime, salt and pepper. Good for any stomach, helps quench thirst and rejuvenates energy in the thick of the heated sun.

Recommended to any tourist.

err..
its goli not goti

goli means marble in kannada(bangalore's native language). its a word derived from 'gol'(sphere).
