Old Madras Road, just above K R Puram railway station has a cable rested over bridge. It's on the Bangalore Chennai State highway (NH4) and eases trafic from Bangalore city moving out towards Chennai... bridge was constructed by Afcons infrastructure ltd

The concept of a cable-stayed bridge is simple. A bridge carries mainly vertical loads acting on the girder. The stay cables provide intermediate support for girders so that it can span a long distance.
