It might now be that late that we can see the metro passing through famous M G Road, the work is in full swing on the MG Road promenade. Though these gigantic cement columns have replaced the beautiful trees the cost paid heavily then…
In the era of advanced tools and technology, this guys uses the legacy meathod of fixing a puncture by cleaning the spot, applying glue/solution and heating the patch on a hot plate. There are many such small time type shops that operate in the bylanes of the city and earn their livelyhood remaining competitive and afordable.
Lots of rain tree flowers on the car windshield, the sheer biomass this tree generates as blessing of the summer is remarkable. Most of the city roads and bylanes are turning brown with lots of these flowers due to many of the rain trees everywhere...

A modified mahindra pickup-jeep that has a box ladder mounted used by BBMP for street light maintainance. On of the favoirite must watch when I was a kid and enjoy the ladder unfold and person reaches the street light a nostalgic event for sure…only difference then was that the ladders were not mounted on vechiles but had wheels of their own and were pulled by some other vehicle to put in place under the street light….
The traffic woes, traffic cop and the cart full of melons…both have ajob to do. The afternoons continue to remain hot depite few evening showers and melons come to the rescue…The traffic jams continue as the cop attempt to rescue…
Waiting for thr school bus, these kids wait in the shade of a building on the footsteps of a shop for their school bus. They seem to get cought between summer heat and exam times yet managing their routines…
There are ways and means to beat the summer heat. A chilled sugarcane juice works well for many, the shopkeepers too know that and have mobilized roadside stalls to capture share of throat…the fresh juice helps quench the thirst and provides instant energy too...
The city is a proud owner of many lakes and reserviors that keeps the garden city cherish its green cover. In recent few years these water bodies are seen shrinking and drying up as the urban population and demands thereof keep increasing.
The few lake beds are now visible and many barewells are getting driedup as ground water keeps depleting… The garden city indeed should get its act together to restore these water bodies and focus on innovative ways anmd means to fight the scarecity of water….
The M G Road section of the metro is gaining good pace, most of the columns are in place and are complete till trinity circle….
The summer colors are blushing…every tree each pot in the city brings along the shade and shine …
