Lots of rain tree flowers on the car windshield, the sheer biomass this tree generates as blessing of the summer is remarkable. Most of the city roads and bylanes are turning brown with lots of these flowers due to many of the rain trees everywhere...

A modified mahindra pickup-jeep that has a box ladder mounted used by BBMP for street light maintainance. On of the favoirite must watch when I was a kid and enjoy the ladder unfold and person reaches the street light a nostalgic event for sure…only difference then was that the ladders were not mounted on vechiles but had wheels of their own and were pulled by some other vehicle to put in place under the street light….
The traffic woes, traffic cop and the cart full of melons…both have ajob to do. The afternoons continue to remain hot depite few evening showers and melons come to the rescue…The traffic jams continue as the cop attempt to rescue…
Waiting for thr school bus, these kids wait in the shade of a building on the footsteps of a shop for their school bus. They seem to get cought between summer heat and exam times yet managing their routines…
There are ways and means to beat the summer heat. A chilled sugarcane juice works well for many, the shopkeepers too know that and have mobilized roadside stalls to capture share of throat…the fresh juice helps quench the thirst and provides instant energy too...
The city is a proud owner of many lakes and reserviors that keeps the garden city cherish its green cover. In recent few years these water bodies are seen shrinking and drying up as the urban population and demands thereof keep increasing.

Early morning under the clear sky, the dried fruits of the forest fire tree might have atttractd many dragonflies in my neighbourhood. I tried capturing few on the camera but they are swift and small to get a clear shot….
City seems to continueously reinventing the trafic solutions to encourage car owners to take public transport to decongust the streets… In next 2 months all 10 Corridors will have Big-10 Bus Service with a frequency of 5-10 minutes, both A/C and Non-A/C Service. ABIDe website for details.

The global economic turmoil have certainly done away with so many jobs in the city and made the experts sit on the bench, i.e. awaiting projects for the US clients, this picture gives me a symbolic representation of the 'bench' otherwise...
Sky is clear and partly cloudy making it easier to commute in the afternoons. The city continues to play with the summer with unusual rains activating it’s natural thermostat, the temperature & the low pressure last week raised the mercury above 31-32 C that perhaps lead to the rains cooling it off and might last for few more days…
It is best to avoid the CMH road, the namma metro work has almost completely swallowed the road to a mere small single lane with small pavement to pass by. The work is in progress for more than a year and will surely take another… till then the dust, digging continues….
What city is watching now!! The new releases of block buster pirated DVDs on streets for sale. The network seems to be so well organized that the latest DVD is available after a week of its release…
After the Holi-day, the signs of festivities still linger around on the shop displays, left over colors on hands, faces, roadsides and most importantly colleagues getting the home made sweets to office for sharing, I must say still the event lingers on my senses ….

Green and pink, most of the rain trees in the city are blooming. Once in a year it blooms after the fall along with the new leaves. From a distance it appears they these trees are wearing a pink pullover over shining green leaves…
The (early) morning drive to work, such a pleasure to see empty roads, cool breeze and nice green canopies… though these summer days are hot yet the trees make it better with their shade, this city is truly blessed!!
Conversations unlimited! Another use of pavements for meeting friends and passing time together. Many call this as ‘Adda’, a place to catch up with friends outdoors besides car parks, roadsides / pavements, few prefer meeting inside the air-conditioned malls to beat the summer heat. All in all the catching up is a must !!
