Carriage in the Modern age...

No this isn't a photo from archives, this is from Sheshadripuram on this vary day... the carriages and horses are real and so real are the people who still use them for transportation of goods and sometimes people. Amidst the auto's and buses these traditional transport means still manage to survive blending them in the local needs and nostalgia's...

The old ways don't pollute the air nearly as much as the new! Maybe we should all go back to this method......

Thanks for the photo. Haven't been in a tonga in ages. Always loved to be on it when we visited our hpme town. I remember this place and glad it still survives. Wish the city could blend some tourism around it, as most cities in the US have done with horse drawn carriages. Imagine a small trip around Vidhana Soudha, Commerical Stree, Brigade Road etc on the Tonga
