Jai Ganesha…
One of the biggest festivals coming up in next few weeks is Ganesha festival, when millions of idols of lord Ganesha will be worshipped in the households. The artisans work day and night to fulfill this demand, the idols are prepared with clay and keep these idols ready in advance many of which are made to order. Many roadside stalls such as this will come up to display their work and help devotees buy these idols with an advances order or just over the counter.Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated as it is the birthday of Lord Ganesha. The festival is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, starting on the shukla chaturthi (fourth day of the waxing moon period). Typically, the day usually falls between 20 August and 15 September, this year it comes on 23rd August 2009.
