Feb 10th 2008 was a different Sunday outing for about 100 students in the city. They took to the streets holding placards with a unique message - requesting motorists to be patient.
Tomorrow's road users set an example on what individuals can do to improve traffic. The walk was organized by LeadCap, whose founder Sangeeth Vergheese announced that more such efforts will be taken up.
The walk started at Gandhi statue on MG Road and concluded at Richmond Town. Students of Baldwin, Bishop Cotton, Sacred Heart and Cathedral schools came out with creative messages. They shouted slogans like: "We love Bengaluru, not Galeejuru (dirty city)" and "Let's stop pointing fingers at others” in supporting the theme of the walk, Traffic discipline. More Photo’s here
Another good example of making money by getting creative and provide innovative solutions for immediate needs of customers. These bag sellers outside city market know people would buy lot of wholesale goods from the market and may need bags to carry them back home.
Though city witness many discounts from various brands and businesses year around, this month is no exception. Khadi Bhavan, the venture keeping the spirit of mahatma and cotton in Gandhi nagar display lures the customers. Many of customers eagerly wait for this to get good bargains….

City continues to amuse me when while wondering across markets I come across few strange shops like this one, the shop dedicated to ‘fencing’. The city market area has so much treasures one can find on items for sale and varieties it offers along the great bargains. 
The new year 2008 is one month old yet this newspaper stall keeps the calenders on display for few late comers. The calenders show regional creativity with various idols besides being colorful...
She sits near the stairway of an ancient building in ancient avenue road with a hope to sell all the colurful oranges. The local wholesale maket must have received major quantities of oranges which are then seen distrubuted with small time players such as her distributing them for retail sale... life goes by the empty baskets returning to be filled again!!
Sunsets on the city skyline, the weather is warm and ready for the summer times ahead. City has witnesses rise in the summer time temparatures in recent times, many feel this summer too would redefine mercury rising....
Who says auto’s are to only to ferry people, the early morning on weekends they become the private carriers of hotels and small shops who carry loads of goodies from wholesale markets making a quick buck to average the weekly gains….
