Fresh milk remains always in demand in the city, cows are raised and grazed all over the possible places, here is one owner taking his cow back home at the sunset. The open spaces at the city outskirts such as behind the city airport makes it a good grazing ground!
Roads & Bridges being build at a pace never seen by the city, the growth has surpassed expectations and govt machinery is all efforts in catching up fulfilling the demands, the amount of new roads, rebuilding old ones and adding connections via fly overs in last decade perhaps is so significant for this laid back city moving into an 'A-1' metropolis ....

Young Bangaloreans enjoyed the festive days partying their heart out. Thanks to the festival of lights and an extended weekend. It was a fun time as many corporate houses declared a three-day holiday for employees starting from last Friday. 
While everyone is busy shopping in markets, few eyes keep the vigil to help us enjoy it peacefully. I would want to wish him too on the festive times to make our lives safe sacrificing his own festive time!!
The most auspicious day among the festive days of Deepawali perhaps is the Laxmipujan, when Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and Ganesha, the God of auspicious beginnings are worshipped across all Hindu homes, followed by lighting of diyas / lamps all across the streets and homes, distributing sweets as prasad to welcome prosperity and well-being in. Lakshmi Pooja, thus marks the most important day of Deepawali celebrations.
Almost each and every house hold in my vicinity was busting crackers on the eve of Narak Chaturdashi, the second day of Deepawali. In south India, this is the actual day of festivities. Hindus wake up way before dawn as early as 2:00 in the morning, have a fragrant oil bath and wear new clothes. They light small lamps all around the house and draw elaborate kolams /rangolis outside their homes. 
Early morning on each Deepawali day, one can find such beautiful Rangoli’s outside homes that celebrate the festival. 
Delivery man from a small store is ready to deliver items ordered via phone to the customer; the small moped provides swift mobility on the narrow roads, between traffic jams. The orders are piling as many households are preparing goodies for the Deepawali festival.
Roadside sales of export reject goods do attract few takers, this low cost high style option is practical for those who try meet both ends on income expense barometer!! 
Deepawali festival means shopping...new cloths, new cars, new electronics but it all starts from series of visits to the market to buy earthen lamps, called Diya's. Without which the festival of light is meaningless, the weekend witnessed lot of rush into small shops selling them...
