When I saw your silk cotton tree I realized that we use the wrong common name and our tree is floss silk tree. There is a silk cotton Ceiba tree about four blocks from our house and not until now did I realize the I call both trees a silk cotton tree. More interesting, that forty years ago I gave a friend a silk cotton tree thinking that it was the beautiful flowering Chorisia. Their tree grew to be a giant but I never saw it bloom. The tree is so big and the flowers so small you have to look closely to see them.TOGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17654322348269765363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25120017.post-11672371411470639862007-09-08T12:00:00.000+05:302007-09-08T12:00:00.000+05:30Yes, the tree has a lot of support from the base u...Yes, the tree has a lot of support from the base upward, magnificent, we have trouble from big trees with shallow root systems and also have some of those vivid flame trees - but not many.juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14276524093914350027noreply@blogger.com
